At Shackleton, we endeavor to improve the life chances of the children through academic achievement, enrichment opportunities and appropriate support. We are aspirational for all of our children and strive to breakdown barriers to ensure our children can thrive in later life.
- Improve the number of children at ARE in Reading, Writing, Maths to meet national standards in all year groups
- Improve outcomes in phonics to meet national standards
- Improve motor skills in EYFS and handwriting in all year groups
- Improve oracy across the school
- Develop subject leaders to effectively quality assure the curriculum
- Develop confidence with using manipulatives and models in maths
- Provide more practical and competitive opportunities across the curriculum
- Effectively assess in-lesson learning and adapt teaching to address gaps in knowledge
- Ensure all staff work collaboratively and effectively to improve in-lesson learning
- Provide emotional support for children
- Provide and monitor effective EAL intervention
- Continue to improve attendance and reduce %PA
- Implement recommendations for safeguarding practices through the annual audit
