Collecting and Dropping Off
Please try to arrive a few minutes before the start of your child’s session so that we can start promptly. Similarly, it is important to collect your child on time. If your child is not in nursery by 8:50/12:35 then they will be recorded as late. The nursery follows the same attendance policy as the rest of the school, this can be found on both the nursery and school websites. Persistently late drop offs and collections will be referred to the Attendance & Welfare Officer for a meeting to discuss attendance. Continual lateness may result in losing your child’s place. Staff ratio must be upheld at all times.
To collect a child a from nursery the designated person must be aged 16 or over. You must inform us, in writing or by phone, if anyone other than the child’s parent/carer or adult listed on the data collection form is collecting them. For safeguarding purposes, we cannot release a child without this permission. Please remember that parents with parental responsibility have the right to collect their child from us, unless there is evidence provided in written form, which is either a current court order or solicitors letter. We use a password collection system. The password will be provided by yourselves when your child starts nursery. If anyone different to yourself or anyone unfamilar to us is collecting your child, the password will be required.
