Clothing

In our nursery, we do not have a set uniform. However, please ensure your child wears clothing you don’t mind getting messy. We provide aprons during messy play, but we cannot accept liability for damaged or stained clothing.  

We aim to go outside in all weathers, so clothing should be suitable for the forecast conditions.  

All clothing and belongings must be clearly named. Younger children often require changes of clothes due to toileting accidents or general mess, and labelled items are much easier for staff to return correctly. Labelling also helps children begin to recognise their own name.  

When selecting clothing, please choose items your child can manage independently. This supports their self-esteem and encourages independence. Avoid belts, braces, dungarees, trainers, and high-laced boots, as these can be tricky for children to manage on their own.  

Each child must have a named change of clothes every day. Any clothes loaned by Nursery should be returned promptly and freshly laundered, or a charge may apply.
