Shackleton is a 2-11 Primary School and was founded in 1928! It was an infant and junior school before becoming a lower school in 1974/1975 and a primary school from September 2013.

At present, we have 17 classes and have been a two form entry since September 2021. 

There are two halls, multiple playgrounds and a large playing field with a trim trail activity obstacle course. In addition, there is a library, dance studio and a main computer suite. Our classrooms have been recently refurbished and boast fully interactive whiteboards and internet access.

In September 2024, we introduced an on site Nursery offering places to a small group of 2 year olds. This will increase to 3 years olds throughout the school year.
