Year 4 - Earhart & Hillary
These are some of the things we will be learning during the Spring Term
Reading - Expectations In Year 4
We expect your child to read at least 4 times a week to an adult. The Reading Record must be signed by an adult each time they read. They can change their book throughout the week. By Friday, your child should have read at least 5 times and there should be at least 5 signatures in their book. The books will be checked on a Friday and a reward given.
Maths Makes Sense is a learning system that allows the children to learn by seeing, hearing and doing. Working in pairs the children demonstrate their understanding by teaching each other new skills. Maths Makes Sense provides a solid mathematical foundation which increases confidence, engagement, understanding and enjoyment for all pupils.
During the Autumn term our Literacy will cover myths and legends, poetry, adventure stories, instructional and letter writing
Understanding the water cycle and the changing state of water. We will also be observing weather conditions over time.
